The Job Center: Now Open!
Not a Hand Out . . . But a Hand Up
The Hope of the Valley Job Center, located at the Navigation Center in North Hollywood, is a hub for day laborers, anyone seeking employment and employers looking for employees. The Job Center is a Day Labor Resource Center Program which provides a place where people participating in the casual labor force can safely congregate to solicit employment from residents and businesses seeking day labor. It provides a community service to residents, merchants and others providing a safe and comfortable place to seek work in public. There are no fees to employers or day laborers to utilize the services.

Our Employment Specialists provide:
- Job Placement & Education Support
- Wage Theft Assistance
- Job Application Assistance, Resumé Building & Mock Interviews
- Computer Lab Access
- Limited Financial Assistance
- Linkage to English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
- Linkage to Legal counseling regarding immigration and employment issues
- Linkage to HIV awareness and sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) and referrals
- Linkage to other community resources
- Food and Clothing
Employer Seeking Employees?
Our Employment Specialists provide:
- Needs assessment for matching qualified individuals with job position
- Liaison between employer and potential workers
- Employer/Employee mediation if needed
- Fast & Efficient Job Placement
- Ongoing and reliable assistance with job placement
