We have outgrown our kitchen!

Ken Photo 2 Million Meals

In the last 12 months, we have added seven shelters with over 900 beds (Six Tiny Home Villages, and the NEW 107-Bed Trebek Center which opened in April). This year we will be opening 3 New Family Shelters for families with children. With over 300 beds, these shelters will serve couples and single mothers and fathers with children.

Our dedicated team of chefs, kitchen-staff and drivers prepare and distribute 3 meals a day to our 16 different shelters located throughout the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles Area. And they have been doing all of this in a 400 square foot kitchen!

We have outgrown our kitchen. To help meet this growing demand we need to build a new kitchen. This new kitchen will be centrally located at the North Hills Administrative Building and will cost $2 Million.

Hope begins with a hot meal. Help us open this new kitchen and continue serving meals to our unhoused families and neighbors. Any size donation helps. Equal sacrifice, not equal gifts.

3 Ways You Can Help
  • Sponsor Meals: Each meal costs $2.05. For $49.20 you can sponsor 24 meals.
  • Become a Kitchen Tile Sponsor: A #HOPEWINS mosaic will be featured prominently in the NEW Kitchen. Tiles can be sponsored for $500, $1000, $1500 & $2000 gifts.
  • Kitchen Sponsor: Gifts of $2,500 or more will receive a special customizable acknowledgment in the NEW kitchen (to be announced).

The Trebek Center dream team! 🙌 Here are some of our amazing staff that will be working tirelessly to get people housed.
Everyone plays a vital role in not only bettering our mission, but our community as a whole! 😇 Let’s wish them luck on their opening week 🍾

Today we took in our first handful of participants at the Trebek Center 🥳 Our participants will have access to showers, three meals a day, and most importantly.. in-house mental health therapy five days a week! 🙌 We are grateful to @councilmemberjohnlee for pushing this initiative. Without ...the Trebek Family laying the foundation we definitely wouldn’t be where we are today! Amazing things happen when the community works together.

From Skateland to the Trebek Center! Enjoy this mini clip of where it all started to what it is now. We keep a piece of the original Skateland flooring here in the Trebek Center 😁 If you’d like to come see it in person we’ll be having public tours until the 15th. RSVP at

Here are some candids from todays Trebek Center’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 🤩 We can’t wait to share more pictures and footage with you all! Until then we leave you with this.
If you’d like to visit the finished Trebek Center RSVP for a tour this weekend!

Mothers of Hope 😇 #happymothersday to all the mothers, and mother figures out there!
We’d like to put a spotlight on the mothers who have the added pressure of experiencing homelessness with their children. Since 2020 the homeless population count in Los Angeles County has found that:
...- 20% of homeless are in family units (often headed by single mothers)
- 29% experienced domestic/intimate partner violence.
These mothers push through their struggles to not only lift themselves, but their children to a better future 🙌 If you’d like to support more mothers and families visit our website (link in bio) to see how our mission makes a difference!

Back with a housing story! 🤩 Congratulations Alicia on your new apartment 🎊 From our Reseda Cabin Community Tiny Home Site to permanent housing. Special thanks to the hard work of the Hope of the Valley staff who took part in lifting her up throughout her journey.
Let’s send Alicia and ...her #furbaby well wishes! 😊

In honor of May being Mental Health Month we’d like to highlight @kencrafthope and @rvansleve ‘s mental state after spending 100 hours on the streets. They took a cognitive test before and after the 100 hours. The after test results showed heightened anxiety, irritability, paranoia and quick to... anger. Remember to approach our unhoused neighbors with empathy because you never know what they are going through.

Thank you @templejudea and everyone who participated in Mitzvah Day and for your generous donation 😁 The clothing drive, 1500 sack lunches and 300 hygiene kits for Hope of the Valley! 😇
We are so grateful for your continued support 💜

The Death to Hope Run Video is now live! Watch the in depth video of @kencrafthope and @rvansleve run to end homelessness. Head to the link in our bio to see it all! 🤩
