Street Art Installation
at LA’s Largest Tiny Home Village
Six artists have been working over the last week to paint each of the 117 Arroyo Seco Tiny Homes with inspiring street art. Each 64 Sq. Ft. tiny home features a one-of-a-kind design filled with inspiring colors and imagery.
Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission is a place where everyone gets a second chance. There’s no better place to do that than surrounded by art. Art inspires. We all need inspiration in our lives, especially when starting over.

The community is invited to view this art installation first hand during the Arroyo Seco Tiny Home Artwalk, Friday, October 22nd (5pm-8pm). Take a tour of the artwork and enjoy local food trucks, live DJ and other festivities.
Set to officially open its doors to unhoused Angelenos on November 6th, we are proud to announce the NEW Arroyo Seco Tiny Homes Village in Highland Park, CA, funded by the City of Los Angeles. The newest location serves as our sixth operating Tiny Homes Village, and is the largest of its kind in the nation– with 117 units and 224 beds. We have partnered with Councilmember Kevin de Léon, and Zach “ZHC” Hsieh, host of season two of the YouTube Originals competition series, “Instant Influencer,” to feature a groundbreaking artistic exhibit showcasing custom designed, hand painted Tiny Homes for the underserved homeless community. This artistic partnership is intended to spark creative joy and expression amongst its residents, and the art will be displayed permanently as part of the community.
Arroyo Seco: 224 New Beds!
The New Arroyo Seco Tiny Home village, funded and built by the City of Los Angeles, with 117 units and 224 beds, is the largest tiny home village in California (and the country). With many thanks to Councilmember Kevin De Leòn and Los Angeles City Mayor, Eric Garcetti it is the seventh Tiny Home Village to open in Los Angeles County and the sixth run by Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission including three in North Hollywood (Chandler Blvd, Alexandria Park and Whitsett West) and two more in Reseda and Tarzana.
The New Tiny Home Village will open the first week of November of this year and will immediately provide a pathway for the homeless in the area to break the cycle of living on the streets and find permanent and stable housing. Tiny Homes are an innovative, affordable, and scalable solution to the humanitarian crisis known as homelessness. Unlike traditional shelter or affordable housing projects, tiny homes take a short time to build and assemble, at just a fraction of the cost.
According to the latest homeless count there are more than 60,000 unhoused people in Los Angeles County. Nearly 14,000 of them are living on the streets in and around Downtown Los Angeles. “We have more unhoused people in Council District 14 than Chicago or Houston, the No. 3 and 4 most populated cities in America,” said CD14 Councilman Kevin De León. The Arroyo Seco Tiny Home Village will serve unhoused men and women within an approximate 3 mile radius of the site encompassing parts of Boyle Heights, Eagle Rock, El Sereno, Glassell Park, Highland Park and Monterey Hills.
